Customer vs Client. Do you know the difference?

A customer is a buyer of commodities such as what we may find in Wal-Mart. Essentially they are product directed and once purchased, may return to buy other products. Hence we want to build and retain our customer base.The strength of a customer relationship derived from a product line.

A Client represents a service relationship which manifests in the ability to addess a problem or capitalize on an opportunity. This may be via a product and/or a service but essentially is directed to a purposeful outcome. A lawyer, Accountant, and a management consultant a are examples. The strength of a client relationship is derived from the need for specialized resources

At the time of our independence it was well accepted that for all of our misery,famines and poverty the British rule was responsible.
